Dietician Technician (Wickenburg, AZ) Job Opening in Wickenburg, Arizona - The Dietician Technician provides food and nutrition services to patients as approved to be consistent with treatment plans and in a manner to meet regulatory requirements. This position interacts with others as a professional and collaborative team member to insure that the treatment facilities and the departmental specific priorities are achieved with consistent excellence and precision.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education ? Minimum of an Associate?s Degree granted by a regionally accredited university or college and completion of a dietetic technician program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Experience ? Approximately two to three years? dietary experience preferably in an institutional or healthcare environment. Knowledge and experience in the specific treatment program (i.e. field of eating disorders treatment). Knowledge of basic counseling skills, addictions, and the 12 Step Model preferred.
Skills ? Leadership by example; ability to act with a sense of urgency, business acumen, ability to build and maintain high performing teams, organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; and problem solving ability. Must interface effectively at all levels internally and externally, self-directed, commitment to professional standards, regulatory , and personal development. Must be proficient in computer usage and hard copy/electronic record keeping.
Essential Responsibilities:

Adheres and complies with all RiverMend policies/standards whether internal, regulatory, legal, etc.
Maintains privacy of all company information and safeguards its confidentiality at all times.
Conducts nutrition screening of patients upon admission to determine nutrition risk and level of care required and communicates findings to the registered dietitian.
Performs routine nutrition assessments on assigned patients under the guidance of the registered dietitian.
Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcome of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy interventions and answers or refers questions regarding patients? nutritional care to the registered dietitian.
Monitors the quality and accuracy of food served to patients.
Communicates with related departments, such as medical and nursing, to optimize nutrition care and monitoring of food quality and delivery.
Performs other duties as assigned.
