Accountant, AR/AP/GL Job Opening in Durham, North carolina - Looking for a candidate who is willing to start ASAP for this role in Durham, NC. The company name is Agile Global Health (recently changed from A&K Global Health).
The Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with the month-end and year-end closing tasks to ensure compliance with Tax and Audit deadlines in the next 2 to 3 months. The major duties are to record, review and verify the accuracy of journal entries; enter AP (vendor) invoices and AR (customer) invoices; and produce standard reporting and monthly reconciliations across multiple legal entities. To succeed, the ideal candidate will have strong curiosity, intellectual horsepower, and accounting intuition. They should have success dealing with ambiguity, establishing processes, and working with multiple legal entities and foreign currencies. Finally, they will be part of a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with great opportunities for leadership and growth.
This position is a full time position for the right candidate. Must be able to work in Durham on a regular basis, and also must be able to work remotely as needed.

Job Related Experience: ideally 4+ years of accounting
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Must understand fundamental accounting journal entries and financial statements
Ability to multi-task and lead work tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
Recent knowledge of Lawson accounting software is a plus
Candidate must have a high degree of integrity, ethics, energy and professionalism
Interest in researching and solving challenging operational and accounting issues
CPA a plus
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree with education and/or practical Accounting experience. Applicant must not require sponsorship to work in the United States.
