Network Engineer/Senior Network Engineer Job Opening in minneapolis, Minnesota - Network Engineer/Senior Network Engineer Cyber Advisors Inc. is a fast-growing service povider in Information Technology field. Currently we have 3 openings (all full time positions, no contracts): 1. Engineer for the second-level support of a medium size business located in Omaha, NE (numerous remote locations). If you live out of state the relocation must take place. 2. Engineer for the second-level support of a medium size business located in Grand Rapids, MI (numerous remote locations). If you live out of state the relocation must take place. 3. Fied network engineer (consulting position) - Twin Cities, MN Examples of technologies found in supported organizations: * Microsoft Servers: Windows 2003-2008, Exchange 2007-2010, SharePoint, SQL * Local and Wide Area Networks: routers, firewalls, switches * Security Administration: VPN, end-point security, AD Domain Policies, * Virtual systems: VMware, Hyper-V Basic Responsibilities: * Implementation, support and maintenance of Microsoft-based application and database server environments. * Ensure all assigned systems are configured appropriately for customers' environments and ensure that all systems have backup and restore systems implemented and tested * Infrastructure support of key business systems including troubleshooting hardware/software problems * Administer user accounts and Access Control lists in all network operating systems, e-mail systems (Exchange), Remote Access Systems, databases, and other client server or Web-based applications as necessary * Provide general support for Intra/Internet portals, Infrastructure core components, and enterprise security where applicable * Provide technical and engineering leadership to other IT teams in support of delivering best practice solutions to solve company*s* business problems Requirements: Must have skills: * Required Server experience: Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft Office Applications, PC hardware and software * Required networking experience: LAN connectivity, TCP/IP, Windows Active Directory design principals and administration, MS Exchange administration and implementation, Firewall and Security Management Additional requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business with at least 4 years of experience preferred or an equivalent combination is desirable * Systems administration MCSE, MCP, MCITP, CCNA and/or other certifications relevant to the position are desirable * Ability to work in a team environment or independently with general guidelines * Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution * Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations with strong troubleshooting skills * Excellent planning, documentation and communications skills a must * Ability to be on-call and perform system off-hours * Occasional travel required for training, seminars or remote work needs Bonus Skills: SharePoint Services SDK for 2010 (MOSS 2010), Citrix administration and support, Cisco Network Administration, MAC hardware and OS support, SQL server administration and report services If you a hard-working, easy-going and experienced individual with strong work ethic please send your resume and cover letter to . minneapolis mn minnesota
