General Ledger Accountant Job Opening in Lafayette, Louisiana - America?s Pizza Company, located in Lafayette, LA is seeking to fill the position of General Ledger Accountant. Our organization is comprised of 126 Pizza Hut locations across five states and employs nearly 3,000 associates.
Essential Responsibilities of Position
Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Preparation of journal entries
Analysis of revenue and expense accounts
Managing accruals and prepaid accounts
Amortization and depreciation
Assist with period-end and year-end closing process
Assist with annual budget
Assist with year-end audit
Annual reporting such as 1099s, property renditions
Multistate licenses and permits
Preparation of sales and use tax returns
Research and special projects
Solid GAAP knowledge
Recordkeeping for affiliated companies including bookkeeping, AR, AP, fixed assets, banking, reporting, communications with owners, vendors, auditors, etc
Inter-company reconciliations
Contribute to team effort by working with other departments on special projects and other team activities

Accounting degree from accredited university
