Accounting Associate Job Opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - We are a rapidly growing plaintiff's personal injury law firm with an immediate need to add full-time, Accounting Associates to our team in Baton Rouge, LA.
Our Accounting Associates? responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
Processing payment requests for case expenses
Managing client loans for case expenses
Drafting and reconciling settlement memos
Preparing and entering bank deposits
Disbursing settlement proceeds
Processing vendor payments
Reconciling bank and credit card statements
Handling void requests and refunds
Making journal entries
Maintaining accounts payable and receivable ledgers
Our Accounting Associates? must exhibit the following skills:
The capacity to meet deadlines in an extremely fast-paced environment
The ability to stay on task through frequent interruptions
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a focus on customer service
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Accurate and efficient data entry and 10-key calculations
We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
A minimum 3 years of applicable experience in an role may be considered in lieu of a degree
Proficient with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of an accounting system; QuickBooks experience is a plus
Previous experience working in a law firm or similar industry, a plus
