Regional Outside Sales Representative, Heavy Equipment Job Opening in Shreveport, Louisiana - Position Title: Regional Outside Sales Representative, Heavy Equipment
Location: Shreveport, LA
Hourly or Salaried: Base Salary plus Commission
Heavy Machines is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative who will be responsible for generating new revenue, service existing HMI customers as well as identifying and winning new business. The Sales Representative will sell and/or rent all lines of equipment represented by the company.
Heavy Machines offers competitive salary plus commission with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, and prescription drugs, disability and life insurance.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilites:
Generate revenue through rentals and sales of equipment through on site job analysis and face-to-face relationship building with those company owners and representatives in the industries we serve.
Penetrate customer at the strategic level to diversify customer base to include industrial, traditional and nontraditional accounts
Identifies business opportunities by visiting prospects and evaluation their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options
Prepares professional sales presentations and quotations for customers
Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities
Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries, questions, concerns regarding products, service, delivery, and billing
Reporting of field activity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be people-oriented, aggressive, sales driven, and a team player
*Must have some background in the equipment rental business
Must be exceptionally self-disciplined
Must possess excellent customer service
Maintain a professional business appearance at all times
Must be able to build prospects and business relationships
Must have a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
Cold-calling and jobsite calls are required
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite
:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of proven outside sales and rental success.
Must have a previous experience in industrial, construction or heavy equipment retail or rental sales
Experience in high dollar capital equipment sales will be considered.
