Provider Relations Specialist( Staten Island, Suffolk, Queen... Job Opening in Garden City, New york - HealthCare Partners, IPA and HealthCare Partners Management Service Organization comprised of a health care delivery team. We have been active in the New York Metropolitan Area since 1996 and are now the largest physician- owned independent physician associates in the Northeast. We are currently seeking a Provider Relations Specialist to join our team ( Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens)
JOB SUMMARY :
The Provider Relations Specialist is to initiate and maintain strong, positive working relationship with physicians and office staff, solving problems in an effective, expedient manner and meet their needs to increase satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FOR THE PROVIDER RELATIONS SPECIALIST ( STATEN ISLAND, SUFFOLK, QUEENS)
Visit Primary Care Physicians and Specialist Physicians according to the Contact Management Plan of the department.
Orient/educate physicians and/or their office staff.
Conduct site visits for credentialing.
Track and report on provider issues, resolve capitation and claim issues.
Investigate and report on provider non-compliance.
Investigate request for any termination and attempt to salvage relationship with provider.
Approximately 10% of the job responsibilities will be completed at the HCP main office complex.
Approximately 90% of the job functions will be completed at the provider?s offices or similar locations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Knowledge of capitation, physician office operations and the effect of managed care on a physician?s practice.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated marketing and customer relations? skills to interact with physicians, and their office staffs to maintain high satisfaction. Ability to interact effectively with unhappy or dissatisfied
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work as a team member.
Valid and Clean Driver?s License and Motor Vehicle Insurance.
Training/Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field required.
Non-Bachelor?s Degree in clinical discipline may be acceptable.
Experience:
Two or more years experience in an HMO, IPA or medical group, physician management company, or other managed care organization.
