Duties Include:
Quickly building a book of business through cold calling and prospecting potential customers.
Closing on new business opportunities.
Providing excellent customer service.
Plan and coordinate pick-up, transit, and delivery with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, driver, and receivers.
Track and continually update shipment status to customers.
Manage multiple shipments.
Report and resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner.
Respond to customer concerns and queries professionally.
Identify, contact, and properly setup qualified carriers for freight services.
Negotiate contract and pricing agreements with carriers and customers.
Contact current and potential customers as well as shippers and receivers for new business opportunities
Maintain a positive and productive relationship with our staff, customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers
Great work ethic, positive attitude, and a self-starter mentality are a must.
Required Skills:
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
Experience working with and facilitating the needs of a customer
Proficient in the use of e-mail, phone, and fax
Technologically apt - able to use multiple Internet/cloud based services, Google Docs, Transportation Management Software, etc.
