Accounting Manager/ Controller Job Opening in Marlborough, Massachusetts - Job Description Position Title: Accounting Manager/ Controller
Company seeking an Accounting Manager/ Controller. This position is full time and benefits include health and dental insurance, 401-K and flex spending.
Essential Functions: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for performing the day to day general accounting functions for multi company environment
Perform moderately complex analyses ( rebates, accruals, supplier profitability, etc.) and prepare monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements
Perform variance analyses and P/L reporting
Prepare functional P/L reporting
Manage and assist in Month End close process
Manage corporate state filings
Assist in the annual financial audit and preparation of tax return work papers
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required by Senior Management
Sale tax reporting and filing.
Prepare inter-company transactions
Prepare billings and job costing entries
Record financial transactions via journal entries, including month-end close process.
Cross train as back up for other staff in case of emergencies
Position Specifications: Job Experience / Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of Accounting Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Advanced proficiency Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Applications
Quick-books experience plus
Strong research and analysis skills
Excellent organization skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong, concise written and oral communication skills necessary; strong analytical skills; must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently; ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third candidates please reply with resume with salary requirements.
