The Accounting Representative is responsible for maintaining full general ledger responsibilities for their assigned properties. It is a dynamic position that will require excellent communication skills and coordination with various departments within the company.
Requirements:
Training/Education
Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in accounting is required
Valid driver?s license (proof copy attached)
Experience/Skills
Res-Man software application experience preferred, but not required
AMSI software application experience preferred, but not required
Demonstrated understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles and their application
Special Requirements

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Highly motivated with ability to solve problems and take ownership of projects and results
Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on the Internet and Microsoft Office Suite ? Word, Excel, and Outlook
General knowledge of the real estate industry preferred
Must maintain confidentiality
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
Ability to operate basic office equipment.
Ability to lift up to twenty pounds.
Essential Functions:
Apply GAAP accounting principles to prepare, analyze, maintain and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a portfolio of client properties
Responsible for the monthly closing of the general ledger, performing financial reporting and analysis, as well as general accounting functions using independent judgement to analyze and resolve accounting issues
Create and post journal entries
Preparation of bank reconciliations and work papers for assigned portfolio of properties
Ensures that all expenses, receipts, owner distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately reported
Assist in preparation of monthly board of director?s financial package
Support property management operations group for preparation of annual budget
Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are consistently met
Support the strategic directions for both the property and client
Monitor procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with Company policies
Timely reporting of any work related injuries to the workers? compensation insurance company
Comply with all local, state and federal regulations as well as all company policies and procedures
