Senior Accountant Job Opening in Indianapolis, Indiana - This is a contract role running through the end of November with possible extension!
Job Title:
Senior Human Resources Accountant
Hours: M-F 1st shift with possible OT meaning longer days and/or weekends
Description/Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for the coordination and execution of accounting and control activities related to human resource/total reward activities for the Financial Services Platform businesses which include Risk Management (CRM), Trade and Structured Finance (TSF) and Global Treasury. This position will have a primary contact in each business. A large portion of the work requires access to confidential salary and bonus information that others in the business do not have access to. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. This also drives a need for someone to be able to independently work through the reconciliation.
Principal Accountabilities:
35% - Reconcile the final bonus payments by individual by country and by business
35% - Reconcile the management p&l for bonus expense
35% - Produce internal management reporting such as the global headcount reports compliance with training COSO.
35% - Maintain integrity of financial information including support and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit/loss statements
35% - Validate payments for expatriates
10% - Provide ad hoc salary and bonus analysis as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Accounting Degree (BA)
Minimum 5 years of experience with general ledger reconciliation and P&L analysis
Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative to solve problems
Excellent organizational skills with ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills
Strong team orientation including ability to demonstrate cultural awareness, and effectively manage geographical and time zone differences.
Preferred experience:
5+ years of accounting experience
Experience with financial services industry
Experience managing the reconciliation aspects of payroll
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $40.00 to $45.00 /hour
