DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Premium Insurance Auditor for a direct hire opportunity with our client. This is a remote based position, with heavy travel in the designated territory. Our client offers an excellent pay and benefits package.
Location:
Bloomington, IN area (Evansville, IN)
Oklahoma City, OK area (western half of Oklahoma, North to the border and South to the border)
South Bend, IN area (Crown Point, Gary, Merrillville, or Valparaiso, IN)
Springfield, IL area (Peoria, Champaign, or Bloomington, IL)
Responsibilities
As a Field Premium Insurance Auditor:
You will work with each Client on scheduling appointments, payroll review and evaluations, audit prep work and audit completion.
Conduct field audits and traveling to agents' commercial clients within a specified territory.
You will perform complex and routine audit functions for the purpose of verifying premium basis.
Review ledgers, state or federal quarterly records, financial statements and other accounting records and calculate and develop earned premiums in accordance with company standards, industry guidelines and government rules and regulations.
Establish correct policy classifications based on personal assessment and physical examination of the insured premises.
Document and report any and all changes in the insured's active business processes and submit all findings, audit reports and other necessary documentation within established time frames.
Adhere to company policies and guidelines for remote / production work.
Auditors will remain professional at all times and will have high standards of integrity as they work with confidential information.
Required Skills
Minimum of 1 - 3 years premium auditing experience in the insurance industry.
Previous experience with workers compensation and general liability.
Strong aptitude in math, finance, and accounting.
Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously; successfully managing multiple priorities and business relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Clean driving record.
HS diploma or higher.
Ability to travel and work from a remote office is required.
Desired Skills
Experience auditing garage hazard I and II policies.
Industry designation, APA or CPCU preferred.
Carrier and Vendor auditing experience.
Experience with insurance auditing software.
