Banquet Manager Job Opening in Jasper, Indiana - RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for hiring, training and managing all employees
Meets with customers to book and plan events, select dates, & choose menu items.
Supervises the set-up of banquet rooms to include placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware according to event order specifications.
Maintains a work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, positive problem solving, growth and development, recognition, and respect.
Visually inspects banquet rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set-up.
Supervises clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipment.
Verbally communicates in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of the function with the kitchen and event staff, as well as the guests to ensure timely execution of events, and quality service.
Supervises clean-up of banquet rooms and proper breakdown and storage of equipment.
Orders supplies, linens, beer, & liquor for functions.
Assists servers and kitchen with execution of events according to the event sheets.
Handles invoicing for parties and organizes daily sales sheets for accountant.
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Must be detail oriented.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Sales ability.
Extensive knowledge of all facets of event planning and execution.
MUST be able to work flexible schedule (NIGHTS & WEEKENDS)
