Job Description
We are a fast growing start-up environment looking to hire a Vice President of Sales to lead and run our sales team. This critical position requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial minded, self starter with proven success building sales teams and processes from the start-up stage. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building out and scaling sales organizations to support substantial market growth within a compressed timeframe leveraging a Direct Sales Model.
In this role you will be responsible for developing every aspect of the sales cycle. You will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing strategies for presenting TPJ's services to mid-sized and regional business
Targeting new business prospects
Identifying new growth markets for our products
Identifying stakeholders within retail organizations and following through on setting up meetings to deliver business presentations on-line/onsite within client locations.
Understanding how to match our services to the clients needs
Collaborating with our Executive team to secure new business pilots and pursue them in the client's interest with a commitment to drive their success within our business program
Working closely with Operations team to develop successful strategic alliances or partnership programs with key companies to create new business opportunities with each partner
Putting in place the infrastructure and systems to support the sales function to develop and generate sales leads and client referrals
Define and coordinate sales training programs that support company sales objectives
Implementing a CRM to effectively manage, document and archive sales lead activity, pipeline and contacts related to customers and prospects
Collaborating with HR to design the optimal sales force structure, and hiring, training and developing a sales team as the business grows
Assisting in defining the compensation and incentive programs and monitoring sales reps progress against stated goals
Compiling and reviewing quantitative sales data and reacting to changing trendson new competitive threats or opportunities
Providing detailed and accurate sales forecasting, including accurately forecasting revenue and creation costs for new accounts
Creating and tightly managing sales budgets
Skills
The candidate for our Vice President of Sales should have prior experience building sales teams in a technology enabled business and working in early stage technology start-ups is preferred
The candidate should also exhibit the following skills:
Exceptional communicator with strong presentation skills and demonstrated history outlining and establishing sales strategies
Financial analysis skills, including knowledge of budgets, spreadsheets and financials
Ability to succeed and thrive under pressure
Strong Microsoft Office Skill (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various CRM and sales tools
Ability to travel domestically as much as required
