We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Team in Denver!
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hands-on individual capable of supporting the Controller with a wide variety of functions which include transnational processing, financial analysis, annual budget development and monitoring, cost allocation, monthly reporting, program and annual audit support and the implementation of financial and compliance controls.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Collection and record keeping of day-to-day business transactions.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Cross train with various other accounting function i.e. AP, AR and Payroll.
Assists in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data.
Maintain and adhere to standards of compliance as it relates to financial and government regulations.
Recommend and identify possible process improvements.
Manage ad hoc projects assigned by the senior management team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this position:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred.
3-5 years? in a public accounting role.
Proficient understanding of GAAP.
CPA preferred.
Hands-on experience in analyzing business requirements, budgeting, and full-life cycle accounting.
Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization and with staff at satellite locations.
The ability to work with others in a team environment.
Detail orientated, strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment to resolve complex problems in an accurate and timely manner.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and
Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Intermediate Excel; proficient in Word, Outlook and ERP systems
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
