Bilingual Office Clerk Job Opening in houston, Texas - Bilingual Office Clerk P&S Supply, a leading supplier of industrial equipment and materials, has an opening for a bilingual office clerk. He/She will contribute to the efficient operation of our Westchase office by providing bilingual administrative support. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist sales manager in daily duties. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as quotations, packing lists, and invoices. Open, sort and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail. Inventory and order office supplies. Complete work schedules, manage calendars and arrange appointments. Count, weigh, measure, and/or organize materials. Make travel arrangements for office personnel. MINIMUM SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS High school graduate - basic high school or college business courses preferred but not required English/Spanish bilingual a MUST Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate. Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and emails. Writing -- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the clients and providers. Clerical -- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. English language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Spanish language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the Spanish language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Proficiency in Microsoft office (particularly Excel) Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferred but not required) English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Oral Comprehension -- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Oral Expression -- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Written Comprehension -- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Mathematical Reasoning -- The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
