Sales and Marketing Assistant Job Opening in Torrance, California - Summary/Objective
The essential duties of the Sales/Marketing Assistant are to support the company?s sales and marketing departments by tracking, investigating, reporting sales information, assisting with social media posts, eblasts, varied print media products such as brochures, catalogues, flyers, and posters. The Assistant will provide new client setup, maintain existing client records, provide existing client relationship management, and research sales competition. Assisting with other administrative duties and projects as needed.
Requirements/Skills
Requires excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills including vocal, email, and written. Must have solid computer skills. Must have a truly positive, friendly, and professional attitude and be able to work with multiple people in other trades, as well as interact with in-house staff, and clients. Maintains a strong one on one relationship with the Sales Representatives and Marketing Director in order to meet each departments needs and further the company?s goals. Must be self motivated, driven, and able to multitask.
Specific Responsibilities
Assists the Sales Department Personnel with new client contracts and helps to manage the new client setup process internally.
Submits requests and other internal paperwork on behalf of the Sales and/or Marketing department.
Maintains a superior knowledge of MediaMation?s products and services.
Updates the Sales Department Personnel by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries.
Assists Sales Department Personnel with quotes and pricing information.
Fulfills marketing and sales requests, forwards information and answers questions.
Maintains client database by inputting client profile and updates; preparing and distributing monthly reports.
Assists with MMI?s social media and web accounts by updating and removing content.
Oversees the marketing collateral to ensure availability of inventory at all times.
Assists Marketing Director with market research efforts.
Assists with tradeshow organization.
Performs proofreading and editing duties for marketing and/or sales presentations.
Maintains daily sales information reports for marketing analysis projects.
Performs Google and social media analysis.
Organizes and updates sales library of presentations for three company divisions.
Completes other special projects as needed.
Education and/or Experience
2+ years of previous administrative experience. Associate or Bachelor?s degree plus.
Excellent computer skills using word and excel.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team work style.
Attentiveness, Patience, Tenacity and Attention to Detail.
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and other visual design tools a plus ++.
