Home Care Visiting Nurse, RN Job Opening in Hatboro, Pennsylvania - Currently seeking a Full Time Homecare/Visiting Field Nurse for a Bucks and Montgomery County Territory. Please see details below and if you are interested, please submit your resume for consideration and we will give you a call.
Highlights:
6 visits a day
Salary position/exempt
Can start and end each day from home ? minimal time in the hospital other than meetings
Check points are set up throughout the territory to drop off lab work (as needed)
Use of laptop (documentation system)
Extensive training scheduling for new employees
Nurses don?t work call
Very little turnover, great team, and a very experienced director
**Salary is based on experience: 1 year experience starts at $28/hr, and increases with each year of experience. 5-10 years+ is at a rate of $35.96/hr
Performs Nursing Procedures which include but are not limited to:
Vital signs to include C/P assessment
Bathing
Colostomy care and irrigations, urostomy care, tracheostomy care
Wound care, including irrigations and specialized dressings such as Wound Vac
Catheter insertion/male and female, plus suprapubic t changes
Bladder irrigation and instruction in self-catherization
Flush bili tubles, ureteral tubes
Set up medication schedule, supervise medication effects, administer medication injections ? subcutaneous and intramuscular per Medication Administration Policy
Chest tube irrigation and redressing
Skin care ? preventative and healing measures
Enemas
Instruction in case of feeding
13. General health and hygiene supervision. Preventative skin measures
Venipuncture and collection of specimens for labs
Oxygen and mini-nub instruction related to use, care of equipment and safety precautions
Suture/staple removal
Assessment of equipment needs and supplies, demonstration of use care, and safety precautions
Other clinical procedures as approved
Demonstrates patient case management by assessment, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care needs according to department guidelines in order to achieve quality outcomes.
Organize and write protocols and procedures for identified patient programs following established criteria
Develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patients in their own environment
Monitor patients' response to therapy and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals.
