HR Generalist Job Opening in Neenah, Wisconsin - Location: 333 North Commercial Street, Suite 300, Neenah, Wisconsin 54956
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer
Compensation Status: Exempt
Primary Purpose: To coordinate and administer Empowerment Living Services? (ELS) employment and human resources policies, procedures, and programs, including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, employee training and development, employee benefits, employee compensation, organizational development, and employment records.

Conducting and/or attending employee meetings and counseling sessions
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
The following are a non-exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, and expectations essential to the position of Human Resources Generalist:
Programs
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, developing and administering employee programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align employees with ELS? strategic goals.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, participating in developing program goals, objectives, and systems.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, participating in administrative staff meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, establishing program measurements that support ELS? strategic goals.
Information Systems
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, developing and maintaining ELS information systems, including recruiting, Internet, and other communication systems.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, developing and maintaining ELS? employee related databases.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, preparing and analyzing functional and management reports.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, using Human Resources computer software.
Training and Development
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, assisting management with the selection and contracting of external training programs and/or consultants.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, providing necessary education and materials to House Managers, including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks. and standardized reports.
Recruiting and Prospective Employment
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, conducting recruiting planning meetings with management.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, reviewing resumes for candidates.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, recommending candidates for employment.
Employee Relations
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, developing Human Resources policies.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, partnering with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and employment laws to employees.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and to promote high levels of morale and motivation.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, participating in policy implementation discussions of discipline systems.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, assisting with the implementation of ELS safety and health programs, and tracking and posting required data and files reports, as necessary.
Employee Compensation
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, evaluating or auditing employees? wage and salary structure and ELS? variable pay systems, including bonuses and raises.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, conducting research and preparing pay studies in order to effectively establish pay practices to help recruit and retain employees.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, providing payroll processing back-up support.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, assisting the Chief Financial Officer with accounting and payroll to maintain an accurate payroll database.
Employee Benefits
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, providing day-to-day administration services.
Effectively and satisfactorily, on a regular basis, assisting management and/or employees with any claim issues.
Required Work Hours and Availability ? Regular and Predictable Attendance
A minimum of 40 hours per workweek is required, generally Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but depending on the needs of ELS

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Window, including Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated skills in database management and recordkeeping

Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality

Ability to competently and professionally complete tasks independently as well as properly and effectively interacting with other employees as part of a team
Required Prior Work Experience
3 to 5 years of prior Human Resources experience
Prior experience in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs
Required Education, Knowledge, and Training
Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources
Knowledge of employment laws and practices
Training in employment law, employee compensation, organizational development, employee relations, safety training, and/or labor relations
Required Qualifications and Licenses
Proficiency in PeopleSoft or Workday software.
Driver?s License: A valid Wisconsin driver?s license.
Automobile: An automobile that is insured and in good working condition.
Cell Phone: An operational or working cell phone that can make and receive phone calls, emails, and text messages.
