Business Development - Entry Level Sales Job Opening in Humble, Texas - Single Point Carrier Services is an Invoice Factoring & Logistics company for small to medium sized trucking operations. We are currently looking for qualified Business Development personnel. Our Business Development professionals are responsible for building their regional market positions by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. A successful candidate is someone who is hungry to make a sale and is willing to pick up the phone to convert leads into contracts. Single Point is looking for candidates with transportation experience in sales, dispatching, customer services and can hit the ground running with little to no training.
The perfect candidate for this role is someone who has been working in transportation for 3-5 years and has an existing network of trucking and logistics contacts which they can immediately start building a referral network to bring in tangible sales leads on day 1 with minimal sales training.
Responsibilities of Position
Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Single Point?s services and pricing structure.
Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service accommodations.
Meet or exceed the new business sales goals.
Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers.
Working with underwriting to ensure approval requirements
Prepare and deliver sales and follow up with key decision makers.
Updating Salesforce CRM systems and clearly communicate prospecting/lead generation activity to management
Complete required Client Set Up Kit Packages, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy.
Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
Regularly meet with Sales Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of the transportation industry preferred. 5-10 years of experience.
Minimum 2 years outside sales with a proven track record of success.
One year of experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business).
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.
Bilingual candidates considered a plus
