The IT Department is seeking an interested candidate to join their corporate office team. This position is based at the corporate office in Knoxville, Tennessee and reports to the Corporate Application Development Manager.
Systems Analyst
Summary: Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and documents business systems and user requirements to ensure Information Technology department alignment with overall business objectives. Responsible for all aspects of support and maintenance for assigned systems including software applications and data processing functions to support business needs. Responsible for application system administration and support including occasional off-hours on-call support. Requires intermediate software development skills for systems integration, large scale data processing tasks, complex system enhancements, unit testing, functional testing, miscellaneous scripting, and bug fixes. Develops detailed documentation of user requirements, system functionality, and processes or procedures needed to design, modify, or maintain computer systems. Requires at least a bachelor?s degree in an Information Technology related area and 3+ years of experience in an Information Technology related field. Familiarity with client/server concepts, relational database management concepts, object oriented development concepts, and system development lifecycles. Ability to draw upon experiences combined with sound judgment and logical problem-solving abilities to plan activities of self and others to accomplish goals. Must be able to multi-task and perform a wide variety of tasks while maintaining focus on overall goals. Works under the general supervision of a director, manager, or project leader while possessing the ability to work in a leadership role with other teams and vendors.
Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
Regular and consistent attendance
Define, publish, and analyze the results of RFP?s
Accurately track and estimate costs in terms of time and materials for small to medium sized IT projects
Provide staff and users with assistance solving system problems such as application and data processing malfunctions
Test, install, maintain, and monitor computer applications and systems
Administration of application security including user account and performance of quarterly user security audits
Use object-oriented programming languages along with client/server application development processes and Internet technologies to solve business problems
Work with users to understand and document the nature of the information processing or computation needs that a computer system is designed to solve
Integrate various, sometimes disparate, computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and maximize sharing of information
Consult with management teams to ensure agreement on system design principles
Configure, expand, or modify systems to respond to new business needs or improve work flow
Create and maintain application documentation including, but not limited to, technical, end-user, FAQ, management, disaster recovery, and functional requirements
Interview or survey workers and observe or perform job duties to determine what and how information is normally processed
Document and describe alternative automated processes to improve efficiency or accuracy
Determine what computer software or hardware components are needed to set up or alter a new or existing system
Train staff and users to work with computer systems and applications on an as-needed basis
Develop and deliver presentations to peer groups and managers
Perform other duties as assigned
Systems Analyst Qualifications are as follows :
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent IT systems experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a systems development or support role
Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Knowledge of modern programming languages including C# or and Java
Knowledge of scripting tools and languages used to automate repetitive tasks
General relational database management systems experience, preferably with using Microsoft SQL Server and MySql technologies
Knowledge of SQL
Experience working within a defined systems development lifecycle
Experience working with SOAP web services
Knowledge of and experience with multi-tier applications in a distributed network environment
Knowledge of and experience with networking concepts as they relate to multi-tier application design, development and support
Delphi experience is a plus
Interpersonal and communications skills must be adequate to effectively communicate with team and group members, other IT groups, and users
Must be able to work closely with other business units or vendors in a positive, professional manner
Must be able to work well either independently or within a structured team environment
Must demonstrate project leadership skills for small to medium sized IT projects
Interpersonal and communications skills must be adequate to effectively communicate with other IT groups, external support vendors, and Theatre management
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Demonstrated ability to make decisions; under pressure, while at times lacking all of the desired information
Must be proactive in identifying and correcting infrastructure deficiencies
Advanced PC skills with a working knowledge of associated software, including spreadsheets

Salary: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
