JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The marketplace sales clerk is responsible for greeting customers and assisting them in choosing accessories, lamps and accent furniture that complement their home and their individual style. This position also is responsible for keeping the showroom clean, stocked and presentable for customers.
Specific duties include:
Greet and interact with customers, providing excellent service
Work independently while displaying teamwork
Suggest complementary pieces to customers
Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, managers and other departments
Apply concepts and skills taught from training
Maintain the integrity of company values
Dust, straighten, condense and restock the marketplace, mirror and artwork galleries
Adhere to all departments, office and company operational, safety and human resource policies and procedures
Provide feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety and productivity
Follow all operational and safety procedures
The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a solid, reliable worker with a strong work ethic and a positive, engaging personality. You must be highly organized and detail-oriented while still being able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Specific qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED
1-2 years? experience in sales or related field
Basic computer skills
Ability to relate to and showcase the customers? desired style or theme
Communicate effectively through written and oral correspondence
Physical Expectations:
Standing and walking for long periods of time
Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally climbing a 6-ft. ladder with artwork or clocks
Environmental Conditions:
Will work indoors
Conditions may include hot/cold temperatures, dusty surroundings and noisy work environment
