Software Developer Job Opening in Medford, Massachusetts - HomeWorks Energy is looking for a Software Developer who is hard-working, analytical, and is excited by the idea of owning the development of a new platform. You will be helping design and implement a platform we are creating to help us best help our customers. If you enjoy working on a small team, care about the environment, and have a passion for developing maintainable and beautiful code, please apply! Primary Responsibilities, varying by project :
Design and develop new features for our new platform as well as internal tools
Consult with internal teams to define technical requirement, capabilities and guide architectural decisions
Write modular code that can be effectively used in future development work
Skills and Requirements :
Client side development in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
Back end development in , Go or whatever language you think is most suitable
Prior experience with SEO is a plus
Experience with working with a front end framework (Ember, React, Angular)
Good understanding of underlying concepts including async JavaScript/ callbacks, JSON, XML, HTTP requests?
Knowledge of best practices in web development
Willingness to constantly learn new technologies
Open to code reviews and pair programming
Ability to handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work within tight timeframes and deadlines
Desire to take complete ownership of assigned projects
Knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, Route 53, S3, API Gateway, EC2, RDS, etc..
