Team Lead Job Opening in Manchester, Vermont - Title: Full Time Team Lead (Factory)
General Summary:
Achieve sales results and promote superior customer service by supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the retail store. Oversee daily activities and work schedules of full/part-time retail staff; manage daily cash-flow; and evaluate, recommend and implement activities that improve store performance (merchandising, stockroom, etc.).
Principle Responsibilities:
Staffing and Schedules
Plan and schedule daily retail staffing to ensure the most effective use of resources in servicing of customers, meeting schedules and coordinating stock requirements and inventories. Make decisions and recommendations relative to hiring, training, performance management, development and employee relations.
Train staff standards of selling, proper fit, and superior customer service. Assist retail staff in the sale of products. Promote efficiency in handling sales and expediting servicing functions to maximize customer service. Research and resolve customer complaints. Evaluate, recommend and implement activities that improve customer service and responsiveness.
Determine and assign daily tasks including restocking, cleaning, rearranging items and operating the cash register.
Sales and Merchandising
Responsible for maintaining sales floor coverage and coordinating the different areas to promote product on selling floor. Organize and maintain selling floor and stockroom. Develop goals for Department Leads and Sales Associates to maximize selling and moving inventory. Ensure staff is aware of goals, promotions, etc. in order to achieve sales results. In the absence of the Store Manager, assist the Retail Operations Manager with planning and oversight of special store sales. Maintain awareness of daily and periodic sales figures and goals, cash tallies, stock records, etc.
Store Operations
Open and close the store and oversee store security measures. Oversee daily cash-flow management. Record intake of daily money receipts, total and complete deposits, record daily information on spreadsheets, and check monthly sales reports received from accounting against current store books for accuracy and consistency.
Assist Manager with monitoring budgeted expenses. Recommend cost savings measures to maintain profitability. Hold Staff Meetings to communicate operational objectives and goals.
Page Two, Assistant Store Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a retail setting. Minimum of two years of retail experience required.
Good communication and PC skills required. Ability to organize and manage projects essential.
Flexible work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
