Director of Finance Job Opening in Sioux Falls, South dakota - Dakotaland Manufacturing is a family-owned company that manufactures metal fabricated assemblies. We are currently seeking a Director of Finance to join our corporate team in our Sioux Falls, SD plant location.
The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization including the construction and enhancement of financial systems and information to support Senior Management as well as overseeing the Human Resource function.
The Director of Finance will also exhibit the organization?s key values of honesty, humility, hard-working, helpful, and hunger for achievement.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and all applicable State and Federal taxes.
Assist in negotiations with providers and periodically generate recaps for Workers Compensation, General Liability Insurance, 401k, and Risk Insurance.
Prepare short and long-term forecasts of financial performance and budgets for use with internal management and external parties.
Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance and variance analysis to Management and Board of Directors.
Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firm?s performance.
Responsible for all aspects of Cost Accounting including inventory valuation, variance analyses, yield measurement, and standard cost maintenance.
Oversee ERP system and make sure it is being used correctly by upstream and downstream users and participate in the selection, implementation, training, and monitoring of future systems to ensure accurate costing information.
Collaborate with Management to periodically review production and costing issues, review labor reporting and costs, material costs, overhead, returns and inventory levels. Provide any feedback to estimating team regarding potential changes to estimating methodology when appropriate.
Prepare financial and operational measurement and key performance indicators for incorporation into management meetings.

Monitor and account for all capital projects, including the timely capture of all project commitments and assist managers in performing project and/or capital expenditure cost analysis and justification as needed.
Consult and advise Management on financial and HR policies, operations, and objectives, and the effectiveness thereof.
Act as primary liaison with banks and other financial institutions and monitor to ensure compliance with all debt covenants.
Keep abreast on all new Federal, State and local regulations which may have an impact on the company. In addition, s/he has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure that all finance/human resource policies, laws and regulations are duties as required.
