Ideacom is currently looking to fill the position of Field Technician .
Primary Responsibilities:
Install critical healthcare communication systems from the ground up in hospital rooms, long-term care and assisted living facilities
Healthcare communication systems may include nurse call systems, locating devices, door security systems, card access systems, wandering systems and other wireless communication systems
Perform programming, configuring, and connecting the physical system to the computer system
Service, troubleshoot and maintain critical healthcare communication systems
50% of your daily responsibilities would be physical work, on your feet, making connections in the ceilings and walls
50% of your daily responsibilities would be technical in nature, emailing, configuring systems, providing customer service, answering questions
Must be willing to climb a ladder
Ability to travel up to 20% of your schedule
Minimum Requirements:
2 year technical degree in Electrical Construction, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Networking Technician or equivalent experience
3+ years in field preferably construction
Must have satisfactory driving record and valid Driver?s License
Superior customer service skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
Any of the following certifications: BICSI, A+, CCNA
Experience in electrical construction or healthcare communication systems installation
