Pega Administrator Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Elite Technical is currently seeking a Pega professional to provide administration to support our client, a premier Federal Healthcare provider, in SW Washington, DC. This is not a development role. The qualified Pega professional will have a solid operational technical support background with the infrastructure, the middleware and automation that support Pega projects.
**Expected deliverables and tasks include**
Hands-on implementation, configuration and support of the AIX, WebSphere and Pega PRPC v6.x/7.x test and production environments
Day to day administration of Pega PRPC v6.x/7.x, WebSphere and AIX environments
Build automation solutions utilizing shell scripting (Bourne or Korn) in the test and production environments
Work with the team maintaining the current Test & Production environments and the infrastructure
Analyze the application architecture of the current Pegasystem implementation
Work with the team and client to document functional designs and work alongside the build team to capture design detail in the SDLC deliverables
Lead and provide technical direction and expertise to a project team
Renovation of the existing environments
Conduct knowledge transfers on new environments

Qualifications:
BS or MS Degrees with Computer Science degree or equivalent
Eight (8+) plus years of Information Technology experience
Certified Pega professional (CSA, CSSA etc..) is preferred, but certification is not required.
Current experience supporting Pega PRPC v6.x/7.x environments
Support for the AIX (or Linux) host operating system
Strong Shell Scripting automation and performance tuning
WebSphere or an alternative middleware (Tomcat, Jboss, etc..)
Background in MQ Series, IBM Mainframe and DB2 Database should be noted
