Customer Service - BHS Job Opening in chico, California - Customer Service - BHS Position : Adoptions/Customer Care/Animal Intake Wage : $8.50 / hr starting pay Where: Butte Humane Society Main Shelter Hours: Part-time must be able to work weekends, holidays if needed Description: Adoptions/Customer Care/ Animal Intake is a fast paced, pressured, multi-tasking position. Ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, animal handling knowledge, ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of efficiency/accuracy, and be a team orientated individual. Position entails adoption appointments and counseling, answering customer questions and aiding the public in a variety of ways, and intaking lost/surrendered animals into the shelter meaning employee would be administering shots, observing behavior and medical aspects of animals, logging information onto paper and computer system, and housing animals for pick up/emacipation. We are looking for an upbeat individual who wants to work hard, be willing to learn, and have a love and compassion for animal welfare. Restrictions: This position requires the ability to be on ones feet for extended periods of time and to be able to lift large animals onto scales for weighing.
