Inbound Freight Auditor Job Opening in Cranbury, New jersey - Wayfair is the largest online-only retailer of home furnishings and housewares in the United States. We are looking for a business minded individual to join our Operations team. The goal of the Operations Team is to delight our customers by consistently delivering the best selection of products for the home to each customer fast, on-time and clean (without damage). The job will include direct access to product through our Logistics Centers and working with our Incoming Quality Assurance leader to enhance product performance, standardized processes, and safety awareness across all Wayfair brands and product classes. Consistent execution, insightful feedback, relationship building, and excellent communication skills are a must. We are a fast growing company, so we are also looking for people who are nimble and can quickly adapt strategy or workflow based on current trends/results.
This is a hands-on process and product auditor role that requires the successful candidate to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is rapidly changing. This is a full time hourly position reporting into our Incoming Quality Assurance Lead (ICQA).
Responsibilities
Conduct product, packaging, handling, and trailer load inspections
Capture and document photos and key data points through handheld tablet
Interpret observations and identify the most appropriate incident type
Provide inspection-related feedback to ICQA Lead
Inspect compromised cartons for product damage
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Detailed orientated individual with a high standard for quality
Customer, Quality, and Safety focused
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and comfort with pivoting quickly and as often as required
Team player who is comfortable taking the lead as a subject matter expert
Able to consistently meet deadlines
Self-motivated, eager to learn and make an impact
Comfort in both a warehouse environment and behind a computer and/or tablet
Ability to move or lift up to 50lbs without assistance

Hours: 1p ? 9p local time. Flexibility required as this position will require coverage across shifts as required.
