Controller CFO Job Opening in Houston, Texas - Position Duties and Success Factors:
Responsible for finance and accounting, tax, IT and Human Resources for large 3rd generation family owned construction subcontractor company with multiple business entities located in Houston, Texas. Approximately 250 union field personnel and nonunion supervisory and administrative staff; direct reports include 5+ employees performing general accounting, banking, AP & Collections, and tax compliance. Very low staff turnover.
This business operates in an intricate structure of Trusts, S-Corporations, Limited Partnerships and other business entities to optimize after-tax net income. Other interest includes investments in real estate, oil and gas production, private equity and marketable securities. A tax optimization mindset is important.
Job Summary:
Provide financial, tax and operational information about all company activities that will assist management, its owners and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's performance, profitability, and future; manage Accounting and Human Resource departments.

Experience with Trusts and Limited Partnerships.
Minimum ten years accounting managerial experience.
