About the Position.
This position will be based at a client site in the heart of the loop for a 1 to 2-year engagement. You will be responsible for leading and/or supporting one or more funded improvement initiatives - including support of virtual events by hosting, facilitating and troubleshooting webinars/programs on AdobeConnect; collecting and summarizing data; communicating out project information (e.g. project status deliverables via SharePoint and other communications tools); coordinate with internal and external content experts; and work with participating organizations such as hospitals or health systems.
Base Qualifications.
Bachelor's Degree; A Masters? degree (MPH) or substantive work experience in health services administration, healthcare policy and communication, or any other field that equips the candidate to understand and effectively lead projects involving hospitals and health systems is, preferred
3 to 5 to years of experience working with or in hospitals or health systems on improvement initiatives is essential
Very strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute workplans; communicate effectively with hospital partners; coordinate the work of experts and consultants; and develop and manage budgets, essential
Microsoft Office application knowledge is essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience working with spreadsheets, charts and statistical software would be beneficial
Experience working on externally-funded projects or complex, multifaceted projects, preferred
Top tier communication skills (verbal and written)
Essential Functions.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
Very strong organizational skills, including an understanding of one?s own tasks and the tasks of others and how those fit into the larger project goal
Stakeholder support: State Hospital Associations; Support Partner Organizations in understanding the goals and deliverables of the project; Connect the state to resources and answer questions
Strong customer service orientation necessary.
Clinical topic support ? Lead education and programming for a subset of the health-related topics; Facilitate virtual events; Develop resources, including maintaining up to date information on our website; Manage the LISTSERV platform
Physician programming ? This position may have an opportunity to lead some of our physician leadership work. Experience working with physicians would be beneficial
Strong project management skills including developing timelines, managing deliverables, collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Must be able to juggle multiple project deliverables, and prioritize accordingly
Comfortable with ambiguity, ability to reprioritize quickly
Attention to detail
Commitment to delivering high-quality work
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
