Yardhand (Temp) Fairbanks Job Opening in fairbanks, Alaska - Yardhand (Temp) Fairbanks Under direct supervision, entry level position responsible for assisting customers with requests for fuel products. May use forklift to deliver fuel barrels to customer vehicles and move items within the shop area. Responsible for the clean up and sweeping of the work and shop areas. Employees are accountable to management and each other to ensure every task is done safely in accordance with Management Systems or business unit procedures with the objective of continuously improving our processes. Exposure to temperature changes, to dust and dirt, to adverse weather and to working around equipment such as a forklift and trucks. Exposed to high noise levels, machinery vibration, slippery surfaces and working in cramped work spaces. Ability to bend, reach, lift and carry 50-75 lbs. Ability to work overtime as required. Work schedule may include night shift, weekend and holiday work, sometimes with little notice. Must comply with all work rules, including those pertaining to safety and health. Entry level job. Industrial related previous experience preferred. Forklift certification is preferred and may be required after completion of the introductory period. High School or GED.
