Medication Room Technician Job Opening in Farmington, Missouri - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Medication Room Technician is responsible for ensuring medication room conditions and supplies and the handling of all client medications is in accordance with all applicable Agency procedures.
This position is responsible for the safety and well-being of clients; and monitors and reports unusual or non-therapeutic client behaviors following established reporting procedures.
The Medication Room Technician observes, monitors and records the day-to-day activities of clients in the Medication Room and advises the appropriate clinical or supervisory personnel of any medical or behavior problems noted.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Individual must be over the age of 21.
Reliable judgment, good observation skills, dependability, and forthright demeanor are required.
It requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
A Class E Driver?s License is required at the time of hiring or can be obtained within two weeks thereof.
Certification in CPR/First Aid is required or can be obtained shortly after being hired.
Flexibility to perform shift work is essential, as well as the ability to accurately record and communicate diverse information.
Familiarity in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office is beneficial. Possession of Level I Medication Aide Certificate or equivalent or willingness to obtain the same through agency approved training.
