Inside Sales - Technical and E-commerce Job Opening in Grand Rapids, Michigan - Rodenhouse Inc. is a manufacturer / distributor of various wall cladding fasteners for the commercial (and residential) construction industry. We have been in business since 1993 and pride ourselves on our industry knowledge and great customer service.
We were recently acquired by a large global fastener manufacturer, ALTENLOH, BRINCK, & CO., and are looking to create some positions in our rapidly growing company. We have seen significant growth in years past due to both commercial construction energy code changes, and overall economic boom in the building industry. This growth has created a fun and fast paced work environment with lots of opportunity.
Currently we're looking to create an additional inside sales position that would have the following roles and responsibility -
Job Purpose: Grow sales with existing customers as well as establishing new customer bases and market opportunities. Manage and grow existing online retail accounts. Implement an effective CRM software program for internal use.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with our existing distributors, while finding new opportunities and building new relationships.
- Learning about industry and keeping up with changing codes and market products.
- Technical sales (steering a sale based on knowledge of products and wall assemblies) primarily over phone and through email.
- Creating awareness and demand in market through email, phone, and sample shipments.
- Answering phones and making sure invoices are put in correctly each time. We strive for 100% order accuracy (we?re at about 97%!)
- Maintain all online sales outlets, including inventory update, customer feedback / response, price competitiveness, all ?retailer demands?. (Menards, Home Depot, Amazon, and Ebay)
- Some travel to tradeshows, sales calls, jobsite meetings, as needed.
- Actively using CMD Insight website to search out jobs, create database, follow up on projects.
As with any sales position we are looking for someone who is motivated and is a self-starter. Past construction industry knowledge is a plus, but not necessity. Also any previous e-commerce experience is a plus.
Must be proficient with MS Office software, past experience with Quickbooks is preferred.
Education: Minimum completion High School diploma or above, some college or degree preferred.
Compensation: Salary, with bonus structure. Full Time, standard business hours (Mon-Fri)
