Support Technician Job Opening in Boise, Idaho - Compass Sales Solutions develops advanced software for print management, proposal, quote generation, and sales force automation in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. Location: Boise, ID
Position: Full-time Software Support/Technician
Basic Duties: Assist our customers with support related questions and issues they encounter related to our software. Troubleshoot PC, server, and network-related issues that affect the performance of our software. Assist customers with installations of our product as needed.
Advanced Duties: Build and attach databases for our new customers, import data into our table structure and manipulate data per customers? requests. Assist our customers? IT staff with SQL Server configuration related to our software and IIS set up for our mobile application. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data imports from a variety of formats into our database using Microsoft Access and/or SQL Management Studio.
Required Skills:
Good understanding of Microsoft OS windows 7 ? windows 10
Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Microsoft Access and/or Microsoft SQL experience
Able to create, append, insert, and update queries
Use relational queries to filter data from multiple tables
Have database manipulation experience
Ability to explain how primary and foreign keys relate in tables
Must be able to work independently and follow instructions
Excellent people skills
Ability to multi task without losing focus on a primary project
Additional Skills a plus:
Training experience
Internet Information Services set up experience
Graphic design
(WinForms) or any coding experience
Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP
Compensation & Benefits:
Based upon qualifications and experience.

Compass prefers to promote with-in, so a career path could be Level I, Level II, Level III Technician, heading towards a Software Developer position with schooling or equivalent experience.
