Backend Developer Job Opening in Temple City, California - Fulgent Diagnostics (Fulgent Genetics) is a rapidly growing CLIA-certified & CAP-accredited diagnostics laboratory. We are a leader in Next Generation Sequencing. Our clients include leading research labs, universities, and hospitals. We take DNA, dump several terabytes of data (per day), and then flex our high-throughput proprietary system. The end result is:

Responsibilities:
You?ll be building infrastructure for our Bioinformatics pipeline system.
You?ll be working with R&D to develop cutting-edge algorithms.
You'll be processing, filtering, and structuring big genetic data.
You'll be building applications to enhance our workflow and quality.
You'll be improving our turn-around-times, aggregation of data, and enabling other teams.
Skills & Requirements
Must be:
Strong software development background
Fast and motivated learner; you'll be learning genetics
Great in teams; you'll be building enterprise level software
Must Have:
BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Exceptional ability with JAVA and/or other programming languages
Understanding of Software Design, Transaction Management, and Databases
Experience developing on Linux
Nice to Have:
Experience with back-end development and system integration
Experience with GIT Source Control
Experience with Scala, Python, C/C++, Javascript, Bash
Experience with J2EE, Oracle, MySql, NoSql, Big Data, AWS
Experience with Bioinformatics tools is a plus.
