Software Engineer for Audio/Video Applications Job Opening in Charlestown, Massachusetts - 1 Beyond builds systems for Lecture Capture and Video Conferencing. We also build storage and archive products. Our specialty is in combining our unique hardware and camera technology with software to provide solutions that automate video recording and production tasks and improve workflows for archive and asset management. 1 Beyond products have been recognized with numerous industry innovation awards.
Responsibilities:
As a software engineer at 1 Beyond, you will play a vital role in developing the next generation of products. You will begin by adding new features to existing products but very quickly move into developing the next set of products.
Because the software you write is tied to the hardware we build and the cameras and microphone systems they are connected to, you will have the opportunity to learn how these microphone and camera systems work, as well. This job will be most interesting to the candidate interested in software that interacts with and controls hardware devices.
You will be expected to work independently to develop the algorithms, find the programming tools and libraries you?ll need to solve the problems and test your code. Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience building web applications with an MVC framework
Experience programming in C#
Experience with Visual Studio or similar IDE
Understanding and practical experience using Git for version control and documentation
A passion for software engineering and a desire for constant improvement
Systems experience in a Windows environment
Experience managing Windows firewall settings
Windows Batch or Powershell scripting
MCSD/MCPD certifications
Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
