The Project Manager will lead a large-scale Oracle-based GOTS financial management system on a long-term government contract. Job Description:
The Project Manager will lead a large IT development team in meeting the mission objectives of a government client. Key activities include:
Providing day-to-day management of all project activities under the task order
Applying Agile development methods to the development of large mission critical applications
Act as primary point-of-contact for the program and authorized interface with the COR and other government personnel
Monitoring the project?s performance and the project deliverables
Planning, organizing, and administering program activities and services
Selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating the performance of project staff
Developing budgets and overseeing administration of program budget components
Managing and reporting project schedule and performance
Managing personnel staffing and other administrative functions to meet established performance objectives
Making financial projections
Directing, preparing, and negotiating contracts for the delivery of program services
Negotiating tasks for services performed for the project
Assisting in the development and implementation of project or program work standards, policy guidelines, and procedures
Preparing specialized reports and other program descriptive information and materials
Exhibiting excellent communication skills at all levels of management
Assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinate personnel
The Project Manager position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance .
Required Skills/Credentials:
Master?s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related IT field
Must have at least ten years of experience managing day-to-day operations across the project lifecycle.
PMP Certification
US Citizen
Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with DoD financial systems
Familiarity with Oracle product suites
Expertise in Federal financial accounting transactions and financial- management laws, regulations, and policies
