Basic Job FunctionsGranite Management LLC is seeking a dedicated CFO to service multiple needs including but not limited to; accounting department manager, budget , primary property owner financial reporter, financial information systems execution, compliance and insurance officer. The primary direct report is to the Managing Partner. As a member of the Management Team, frequent interaction and involvement with other Managers will be standard. Each area would ideally include the knowledge, skills and abilities as detailed below.
Accounting Manager
Responsible for managing activity and output of all accounting staff
Primary human resource (hiring, review, firing) of all accounting staff
Development of all monitoring, accountability and performance metrics of all accounting staff
Ultimate authority and responsibility for all action and output of accounting staff
Determine capacity utilization necessary to effectively perform work required while limiting both over and under extension with the resultant ramifications
Payroll management
Budget
Formulate pro forma annual budget by December 15 of each year
Monitor budget on a monthly basis
Address all significant (5%+) variances and develop immediate plan of action
Property Owner Financials
Participate and guide property owner annual budgets by February 15 of each year
Deliver monthly financials by the 20th of each month
Meet with property owners for monthly financial review if requested
Address all financial questions and issues both reactively and proactively
Information Systems
Work closely with the IT Director to coordinate and consolidate financial information for effective analysis
Work with all Managers to ascertain that all pertinent financial information, both on a Granite and Property Owner basis, is available as needed
Develop any support systems for metric and analytical processes
Strive for systems that are both scalable and repeatable (e.g. multiple regional operations, )
Compliance & Insurance
Primary responsibility for all Granite and Property Owner insurance issues
Management of all insurance
Assurance that all tax, employment, insurance, etc. issues are in compliance
Maintenance of all supporting digital and physical information and files
