Assistant Director Corporate & Foundation Relations Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Job Summary
The Assistant Director (AD) of Corporate & Foundation Relations is part of Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia?s CFR team whose primary goal is to secure corporate and private foundation gifts benefiting the Hospital and Research Institute. Working with the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and administering CHOP?s Corporate Council meetings (2 per year) and implementing all related communications for this executive advisory group.
S/he will also help manage corporate volunteer activities in partnership with CHOP?s Volunteer Office and will serve as point-of-contact for the CHOP Foundation in his/her role. The AD is a self-starter who is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding an assigned portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects on behalf of CHOP. S/he will be able to work independently and will help organize a diverse set of events, activities, meetings and programs to support the fundraising goals of the CFR team.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects;
Prospect and solicit corporate and foundation grant opportunities;
Write, edit and review, letters, proposals and stewardship reports
Plan and organize CHOP Corporate Council meetings, events and communications
Oversee corporate volunteer activities across the enterprise
Schedule and coordinate activities;
Match corporate volunteers to organizational needs and opportunities;
Serve as point of contact with CHOP Volunteer Office
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Bachelors Degree
Required Experience:
A minimum 4-5 years professional experience
Relevant professional expertise in business development, healthcare and/or corporate relations
Evidence of strong writing and communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Preferred Experience:
Fundraising experience preferred
- Volunteer coordination experience
Additional Technical Requirements
Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office a requirement. Knowledge of Raiser?s Edge preferred
