Algorithm Software Engineer Job Opening in Lexington, Massachusetts - Solidus is searching for an Algorithm Software Engineer.
The Engineer will perform tasks including the development of algorithms for text, speech, and video; experimental evaluation of algorithms; and implementation of visual tools incorporating algorithms. Algorithm development tasks include development of information extraction tools in Java, C#, Matlab, and C++ for text processing, visualization of graphs, and processing of speech using speaker, language, and gender recognition. The Engineer will implement algorithms, design APIs for algorithm, and incorporate those algorithms into a visual tool.
Specific tasks will be:
- Transition algorithms from research to an operational user-centric tool
- Develop novel efficient algorithms and implement them in GUI tools
- Develop APIs and composable tools for rapid prototyping
- Implement graphical user interfaces in Java in in various platforms
Requirements:
- US Citizen and an Active Secret DoD Security Clearance
- MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. At least 8 years of applicable experience
- This position requires an engineer with extensive experience in software engineering of data processing and visualization tools - Specifically: Software applications: C/C++, Java, C# and Matlab
- Developing, debugging and executing software in Windows and Linux environment using: Gephi (graphic visualization), Eclipse RCP, Netbeans, Visual Studio and Java map tools
- Implementation of graphical user interfaces in Java
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with text processing and/or developing applications to support foreign languages
- Experience with automated build tools
- Familiarity with concepts in speech processing, social network analysis and big data applications
