Summary /Objective The inside sales representative works with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.
Essential Functions
Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
Understanding customer needs and requirements.
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales team member and/or engineering for further development and closure.
Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
Team with partners to build pipeline and close deals.
Participate in Sandler Training courses as directed.
Competencies
Proven inside sales experience.
Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professionalism.
Customer/Client Focus.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Team player.
Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5 p.m. with a team rotation of working until 6p.m. a minimum of at least one evening a week.
Travel Some travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
2 years of applicable sales experience in a manufacturing industry.
2 years of college courses or Associates Degree.
Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM system.
Business development experience a plus.
