Outside Sales Job Opening in Orange, California - The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:
Manages service accounts by visiting with customers, to develop ongoing relationships with customers and build an understanding of their needs and wants.
Includes building relationships in BOMA and other associated groups.
Maintains a strong working knowledge of company products by studying factory equipment manuals and supplier information. Includes developing knowledge of local elevator code requirements.
Prepares repair job proposals by estimating labor and other job costs. Includes reviewing blueprints, surveying equipment and interfacing with operations personnel for additional input and approvals.
Prepares service contract bids. Includes reviewing blueprints and surveying equipment when necessary and interfacing with operations personnel for additional input and approvals.
Receives and responds to written and oral questions related to quoted repairs and service contracts. Includes performing follow-up with customers on all service and repair proposals.
Monitors the status of current service contracts by visiting job sites and customers, ensuring customer satisfaction with service; resolves outstanding issues.
Contacts service customers regarding contract renewal prior to contract expiration; advises of price increases if appropriate.
Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives
Maintain favorable client relationships
Assess and follow customer complaints to satisfactory resolution
Communicate to both customer and internal operations the necessary information to assure customer satisfaction and achieve sales cost objective
Develop negotiating strategies with minimum monitoring by management
Plan, develop and implement sales strategies on specific negotiations that are consistent with internal product strategy while, at the same time, fully reflective of customer requirements and competitive offerings.

Construction knowledge a plus

Financial Management, and understand basic math including working with fractions and decimals

Must be extremely organized
Must be a free thinker and self-starter and use common sense

Have a working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel
Able to work as a team member to get the work done
Able to take direction and finish projects in a timely manner

Pay: Salary plus Commission
