Medical Appeals, Insurance Collections & Billing Specialist Job Opening in Lynbrook, New york - High volume provider of diagnostic services based in Nassau County, New York and seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit appeals to insurance company
Experience in Interpreting medical diagnosis
Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paperContinue
Data entry
Codes records using ICD-10-CM and CPT rules and guidelines
Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed
Follow up on all claims from billing through final resolution.
Verify insurance for patients being seen
Complete missing or incomplete information
Apply insurance updates for accurate claim submission
Correct rejected claims and resubmit for payment
Skills:
Experience in submitting appeals and collections for insurance
2 years Medical Billing
Fluent is coding records Codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT rules and guidelines
Familiarity with Criterions/TCMS
Excellent customer service, verbal, written communication and computer skills required
Ability to multi?task & communicate effectively in a fast?faced environment
High level of organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and follow-up
