Description:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for working as part of the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial records for the organization
Responsibilities include:
Complete a timely and accurate monthly close for the US operations, including the preparation of monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP, account reconciliations, and P&L analyses.
Assist with consolidation entries and activities, including intercompany balances with the Australian and European operations.
Assist with the year-end audit, including preparation of audited financial statements and related footnotes.
Maintain and update entity, sales and use tax filings in various states.
Work with external accounting firm on preparation of corporate income tax returns, including processing quarterly estimated tax payments.
Handle monthly and quarterly debt reporting requirements.
Participate in annual budgeting and mid-year reforecasting processes.
Oversee daily bank activity, prepare reconciliations of cash accounts and monitor cash flow requirements.
Maintain fixed assets registers and calculate depreciation expense in accordance with the company?s capitalization policies.
Manage workload and oversee daily activities of Staff Accountant and Junior Accountant.
Assist controller with other projects as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Eight to ten years of relevant accounting experience. A minimum of five years managing a small team.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline focused environment.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus.
