Summary:
Collaborates with Nursing Administration, Clinic Managers, Nursing Supervisors, and Lead Nurses to provide educational programs. Enhances clinical practice, professional growth of the staff and the assurance of safe and effective healthcare to patients.
Maintains ongoing participation of professional development activities including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities according to established standards current on best practices on clinical issues relative to areas of responsibility. Uses principles of education and adult learning to design educational activities.
Promotes a learning environment in a manner that enhances learner's competence to provide quality healthcare and to enhance clinical skills through group activities, classroom, lecture presentations, individual instruction, or the general use of role model and mentoring concepts.
Integrates research, evidence-based practice and current literature into educational activities. Reflects an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitude needed to present educational offerings to staff engaged in direct patient care, certification, accreditation, compliance standards, and risk management.
Participates in education needs assessment for all Primary Care and Specialty Clinics. Provides focused education to specific clinics as onsite educational offerings, requiring travel throughout the network. Lean Training required within 6 months of hire, then facilitator of lean projects. Maintains records of educational offerings.
Supports orientation of SAMG staff. Maintains own clinical skills and competency related to clinical practice and staff development. Provides support to Lead Nurses with development and assessment of staff competencies.
Supports SAMG Quality Department with regulatory compliance and the completion of audits Assist with educational needs throughout the network.

Requirements:
Licensed in the State of Idaho and the State of Oregon as a Registered Nurse.
Oregon Licensure may be obtained after hire BS in nursing preferred Minimum of three years direct patient care experience in the role of a registered nurse Experience in nursing education desirable.
Experience with grant proposal writing preferred Maintains BLS Certification PEARS provider/instructor certification within 1 year of hire Excellent communication and computer skills Competency in multiple areas preferred, including group facilitation and leadership, process improvement methodologies as above, adult education and knowledge of healthcare organizational processes.
Must possess a valid and unrestricted drivers? license.
