Software Test Engineer Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - Job Description
Eastridge is looking for a Software Test Engineer that will lead software testing of their client's software system in their Las Vegas location. As a member of the Quality department, you will utilize your knowledge to develop software test plans, implement test automation, analyze test results and recommend corrective actions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in SQL, SQL Server, and test automation.
Responsibilities:
Write test plans and test cases for new features.
Implement test automation.
Collaborate with development team to recommend software enhancements and features.
Promote quality practices to improve quality of products.
Evaluate test results and provide reports for management.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related Technical Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience using white box testing techniques and knowledge of software testing practices.
3 ? 5+ years of experience in a software environment.
Experience with SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
Familiarity with Test Driven Development
Prior experience using a defect tracking and reporting too (i.e. Jira, Microsoft TFS, etc)
Self-Starter, able to work without day-to-day direction and lead testing effort on various software products
Plus:
Familiarity with the use of Visual Studio
Some knowledge or experience with modern programming languages for example: C# and framework, C/C++, Java, or JavaScript.
VMWare Workstation and general knowledge of virtual machines.
Atlassian Cloud Tools.
Windows Operating systems and Microsoft office experience.
Experience with CI, automated deployments
Experience with front end and backend testing and automation tools
