Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are currently offering an exciting career opportunity to join our team as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, LNHA, NHA.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
Current administrator license in the state of employment or eligible for reciprocity.
Proven leadership ability with at least three (3) years experience as an administrator in either a long term or sub-acute care facility.
Maintains current CPR certification.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of Long Term Care and Medicaid regulations and standards.
Knowledge of cost reporting, profit and loss and budget compliance.
Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a large team.
Ability to follow the appropriate safety precautions.
Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of management, employees, residents and their family members.
Ability to interpret and implement regulations.
Ability to manage through delegation, goal setting, and building respect from all nursing staff through use of positive leadership principles.
Ability to plan and direct nursing service in an interdisciplinary team environment. Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Working knowledge of center?s fire, safety and disaster procedures. Implements federal, state and local regulations pertaining long term care.
Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to facility staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
Ensure adherence to current federal, state and local regulatory compliance in the facility.
Responsible for Census Development and Marketing.
Partners with Marketing in all potential admissions.
Facilitate staff meetings to ensure daily or weekly updates on resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns. .
Ensure delivery of compassionate quality care as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage on unit, absence of odors, general cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal resident functions.
Partners with the Director of Nursing Services to ensure staff is prepared for state survey, instructing staff on matters of conduct and disclosure, being interviewed by surveyors, immediate plan of corrections of problems noted by surveyors.
Maintains current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare and State Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems and methodology.
Evaluates the Residents? responses to nursing interventions.
Consult with physicians, receives records and implement orders.
Represents facility at community meetings and promotes programs through various outlets.
Consults with, utilizes and initiates referrals to appropriate community agencies and healthcare resources to provide continuous care. .
Is designated as abuse coordinator for facility and is responsible for reporting all incidents of resident abuse or violation of resident rights to all appropriate state agencies.
Promotes compliance with accident prevention procedure, safety rules, and safe work practices to prevent employee injury and control workers? compensation costs.
Take direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within the facility.
