Accounting Clerk Job Opening in New Britain, Connecticut - Primary tasks would be assisting A/P and A/R.
Work with Accounts Payable: contact vendors via phone and e-mail to submit invoice and BOL for payment. Assist in processing weekly check runs by mail. Filling envelopes and applying postage. Compile and sort all invoices that came in via mail. Mark with order number for processing.
Work with Accounts Receivable: Search for paperwork for billing. This includes searching all incoming emails, e-faxes and mailed invoices. Identify the correct paperwork has been received by comparing with information in our database. Save all backup documentation with appropriate format in billing folders.
General admin support at month end: Reconciling reports and identifying any outstanding orders. Closing out statuses.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to work at least 20hrs/week. Proficient in Excel and ability to multitask.
