Remodeling Sales Associate Job Opening in Vincentown, New jersey - REMODELING
SUMMARY & JOB DESCRIPTION
Overall responsibility is to sell high end remodeling projects to customers (homeowners) that meet the need of the customer, represent value to the customer, build a relationship, and generate a profit for the company. Design experience is a plus.
Dress: The salesperson will dress professionally. Minimum requirements are a pair of dress slacks and dress shirt. The salesperson will present a neat appearance at all
times.
New Sales Lead : When a sales lead is received an appointment will be schedule by the Office Manager/Secretary, and a bio page will be emailed to the client introducing the salesperson they will be meeting with and confirming the date & time of the appointment.
Sales appointment time & date will be inserted into the company calender
A job folder will be created with a cover page Lead Intake Form
Design/salesperson will call client before the scheduled meeting to discuss
and determine if the project is a fit for the company
1st Sales Appointment : On arrival the Salesperson will introduce themselves to the
Client, listen to the wants and needs for the proposed project, provide our sales
Folder to the client and explain the information within it, discuss our design process
with the client in detail
Design/salesperson will evaluate the clients needs, determine if the project will fit the company?s job type. Give prospective of job to client and ballpark project price based on previous company projects.
If is running late, the client must be called and informed of approximate arrival time.
The design/salesperson needs to determine the clients motivating needs to remodel so you can design to the wishes & engage with the client emotionally. Most Important ? start to build the RELATIONSHIP with the client
When discussing our design process make sure the client understands there will be a fee associated and explain why, so it will not be a surprise when presented at the showroom meeting
Take detailed before pictures of the site & existing conditions
Schedule next appointment with client for (showroom presentation meeting)
Phase II projects set next appointment to meet architect & design team at the showroom to answer any questions they have before moving forward
At the end of the 1st meeting salesperson will prepare design renderings in
our Chief Architect design program and a preliminary budget to evaluate the construction cost
Showroom Presentation meeting : The will present our
Design/production presentation, preliminary 3-D rendering designs, and preliminary
Project budget.
Design & Planning: The will finalize the architectural plans,
kitchen plans, bath plans, or any other plans that relate to the project before moving
onto the selections phase
Selections : At the completion of the Design & Planning stage meeting the design/salesperson will schedule the client into the showroom for product selections.
Communicate with the subcontractors if budget is an issue and you need their best possible pricing
Take detailed before pictures
Assistance with measurements for flooring, windows, doors, etc
Design/salesperson you are the leader of this meeting so be prepared!!
When scheduling the contract review/signing allow yourself enough time to properly put together a complete contract.
is required to schedule a contract review meeting with the Sales Manager a minimum of 5-business days before the contract is signed.
Contacts are not permitted to be signed without Sales Manager approval
In-Office Preconstruction meeting : Participate in the in-office pre construction meeting before the client production meeting with yourself, lead carpenter, & production manager. At that time you will review the job file and provide the production manager and lead carpenter a clear understanding of the project so both are prepared to meet the client and the preconstruction meeting.
Preconstruction meeting : Participate in the pre-construction conference before the start of the work with yourself, lead carpenter, production manager, and the client. At that time, specifications will be gone over for the last time with the client and all possible problems ironed out. Once that is done, ?the passing of the baton goes to the production department who will assume responsibility for completion of the job.
Construction start : During construction, make at least three calls to be sure the job is running satisfactorily, maintain contact with the customer, and attend all your
requested site meetings with the lead carpenter. Canvas the immediate area with possible job site marketing letters or door knockers to see whether there are any jobs that can be obtained on a referral basis.
Mechanical Walk-Thru: Design/salesperson will attend this meeting with the lead
Carpenter & client to assist with the location of electrical fixtures, plumbing Fixtures, and hvac fixtures
(EXAMPLE) Mr. Smith is 6?-6? where does he want the new shower head height?
Specialty design review : Design/salesperson will attend this meeting with the lead
carpenter & client to discuss and layout any specialty design items such as book
shelves, bench seats, high end tile designs, custom moldings, etc.
Punch List : Design sales person will keep in contact with the lead carpenter with the progress and status of the final punch list. Design/salesperson is responsible to work with the lead carpenter to receive the ?final punch list completion form?. This form serves the project is considered complete by the client and is required to receive the final draw of the sales commission.
Final Walk-thru - Design/sales person will coordinate with Marketing Manager (Wendy) & Production Manager (Bill) to attend a follow walk-thru of the project with the client say thank you!
Work with Marketing to canvas areas
Working knowledge at intermediate to advanced level of EXCEL, POWERPOINT, AND WORD
Working knowledge of CAD or Chief Architect
